Abstrak

Biology learning at SMA Islam Nurul Muhibbin Tanah Laut still focuses on classroom learning, so innovation is needed to improve the quality of learning. Nature around the school environment can be used as an effective learning resource to provide direct experience to students. The dedication team from the Biology Study Program of FTK UIN Antasari Banjarmasin took the initiative to conduct Pengadian to the community (PkM) in the form of nature-based practicum training. The purpose of this PkM is to increase the awareness and ability of teachers and students in utilizing nature as a source of learning biology, one of which is practicum activities. The methods used were lectures, discussions, questions and answers and simple practicum. The results of the PkM activities show that teachers and students gain insight that not always practicum must be done in a laboratory complete with sophisticated tools. Utilization of nature can be one of the learning resources in practicum activities. Thus, this PkM can contribute to improving the quality of education at SMA Islam Nurul Muhibbin Tanah Laut and become an example for other schools to develop nature-based practicum activities.
