Socialization of Conservation Values for High School Students in Central Kalimantan as an Effort to Increase Biodiversity Literacy

Abstrak

Central Kalimantan has abundant biodiversity, where its management must be implemented wisely. Wise management of biodiversity certainly needs to be implemented to maintain its sustainability. Efforts to maintain sustainability can be implemented through instilling conservation values in the community, one of which is to students. Based on this, the purpose of this community service activity is to provide socialization regarding conservation values to high school students. This community service activity was carried out in February 2025 which was carried out through four stages, namely the planning stage, the organizing stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The results of this community service activity were the implementation of community service activities which included providing material on conservation values based on local potential in Central Kalimantan to 80 high school students spread across Central Kalimantan. Based on the evaluation results, it is known that the implementation of the activity received a positive response from the participants. It is hoped that the activities carried out can provide motivation for participants to become conservation cadres in maintaining environmental preservation.
