Guidance and Career Counseling for Students at SMP PGRI Palangka Raya

Abstrak

Career is an activity carried out by an individual in a particular academic or professional field. At the school level, especially at the junior secondary level, found a guidance and counseling unit that focuses on personal, social, learning and career aspects of services aimed for students in order to obtain information and solutions to various problems they face at school. In fact, guidance and counseling services for students are accommodated by specially appointed teachers at each school. However, there are often obstacles in its implementation, especially related to limited resources. This service activity focuses on providing career guidance and counseling services for students at PGRI Palangka Raya Middle School with the aim of providing students with information and a career picture that suits their talents and interests so that they can maximize their self-development. In addition, it is hoped that students will begin to be able to prepare for continuing education at the upper secondary level up to tertiary level.
